New or Experienced Divers
Here in Key West we get plenty of both new and experienced divers.
Many people visit the Keys to enjoy themselves on vacation and decide to add “spearfishing” to their list of things they’d like to try in their lives when they book an trip with us.
If you’re new, that’s great! We have the equipment you need and will be sure to help you get comfortable with the proper freediving techniques and how to handle a speargun. We’ll move you along as fast as you’re safely able to go, starting with shallower spots when necessary.
And if you’re a longtime diver with spearfishing experience, we can take you out to some deeper reef spots, wrecks, and bluewater for cubera, cobia, wahoo..you name it.
What to Expect
We spearfish year-round in Key West as the water temperature is always great, and the visibility is excellent!
Our first step is always to evaluate your diving experience to help customize a trip that will be fun and enjoyable regardless of where you’re starting from.
We have all the equipment you’ll need. But of course, if you bring your own equipment, we can help perform safety checks, fill oxygen tanks, etc.
We leave from Stock Island, which is the island right before Key West, so there’s plenty of room to park, plus we avoid the big crowds and head out to lesser-known spots.
Because we’re so close to many of the best reefs and wrecks, you can book a 4, 6, or 8-hour trip.
What You’ll Shoot
We’re lucky in the keys to have access to shallower reef spots as well as deeper wrecks and blue water where you can go for bigger pelagics.
Our trips target anything from snapper, grouper, hogfish, and lionfish, as well as wahoo, yellowtail, cobia, and mahi.

Can you spearfish without experience?Absolutely! We routinely introduce people to spearfishing for the first time. Our goal is to help you enjoy an experience that matches your experience level while helping you learn how it’s done!

Do you take experienced divers?Definitely! Our more experienced clients are able to explore different parts of the reefs, blue water and wrecks around Key West, with dives available up to 240’ feet.

Where do you leave from?We leave from Stock Island, which is the island right before Key West, so we avoid the big crowds and head out to lesser-known spots. There is plenty of parking near our dock.
